This morning it was a cooler 71F and drizzly but a group of 6 volunteers showed up and were excited to help out at the Queens County Farm.
The alpacas were there to great us, too!


First, we picked sunburst cherry tomatoes:


Then, we picked bush beans!


Lastly, we weeded to clear the way around some marjoram and other herbs:






I have really enjoyed meeting these volunteers because they generally are selfless, warm, and inspiring folks. I hope to go back soon for another volunteer experience!
Farming rain or shine but with friends makes it go faster and more enjoyable. Food for the soul mind and body!!

Those llamas are adorable!! Could you feed them? Volunteering is a great way to meet other caring people with a common interest. Looks like you all had a great time.
